Bandsintown, the leading live event discovery platform, have jumped on the livestream bandwagon. They are hosting a regular series of live sessions each Thursday. These sessions will be held on their LIVE channel on Twitch. This effort is part of their move to support live music and artists during the COVID-19 crisis.

Artist sessions

To kick off the first in the series on Thursday, April 2nd, Laidback Luke will be playing a set at 12pm ET/ 9 am PT/6pm in the Netherlands. Mixmash Records head and International DJ sensation, Laidback Luke has proven to be talented at a wide variety of genres. Contest winners, from a Mixmash competition looking for aspiring djs, will also play. The 4 winners will do 15 minute sets in the hour before Laidback Luke takes over.

Session Details

Each Thursday session will proceed as follows. It will feature a few artists grouped together for genre, label or style affiliation. This format is to mimic the feel of going to a live show and seeing a few bands or DJs who are intentionally grouped together. All proceeds from this series of performances will go to the MusiCares COVID-19 relief fund. Bandsintown is a part of a growing culture and community that cares and gives back.
